Self-contained Indexer/Driver Offers Easy Programming

The Model 5645 Microstep Indexer/Driver Package combines a programmable indexer and high efficiency bipolar chopper MOSFET driver. This self-contained microstep indexer/driver is for medium to high power step motors.

Five switch selectable microstepping ranges deliver smooth low speed operation plus positioning resolution up to 25,000 steps/rev. The 5645 features four switch selectable output current ranges from 5.0A rms (7.1A peak) to 8.0A rms (11.3A peak) per phase.

Motion control programming is simplified with PacSci StepperBASIC, an easy to learn extension of the familiar BASIC protocol. Capabilities include complex single or multi-axis motion profiles, electronic gearing and more. Programming is supported by a PC compatible software environment. An RS-232/485 serial communications port is provided for programming and host controllers.

Pair the 5645 with Pacific Scientific's NEMA 34 or 42 frame POWERPAC steppers.
